The ...Pingue S.C.. fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when ...Pingue S.C..'s Xulio Arvelo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A well placed Sebastian Gavilanes short distance shot in the 47th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eduardo Navariega made a kick off. When Xulio Arvelo fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ...Pingue S.C..'s protests and gave Xulio Arvelo a yellow card for diving instead. After 51 played minutes ...Pingue S.C.. got a freekick which was hit by Xulio Arvelo. Ziya Onur Eker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Pontones having to interfere.
