With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felix Barela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Siete de Octubre's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Urrutia Chavarria in the 26th minute. In the 32nd minute Siete de Octubre were awarded a corner. Urrutia Chavarria went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Aguirre Vialpando got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Felix Barela quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Siete de Octubre fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Siete de Octubre's Aguirre Vialpando looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Felix Barela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urrutia Chavarria, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Felix Barela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urrutia Chavarria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Urrutia Chavarria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Siete de Octubre's Gustavo Abaurre got a free kick in the 47th minute. The Freibeuter of Sankt Pauli players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Siete de Octubre were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Urrutia Chavarria was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, Siete de Octubre's Felix Barela threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Urrutia Chavarria, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Siete de Octubre played a much better game than Freibeuter of Sankt Pauli and deserved their victory. The Freibeuter of Sankt Pauli players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
