Enzo Gallardo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Lin Jie when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flor Zabalo in the 88th minute of play forced Club Puerto Quito's goalkeeper Mauricio Precioso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Rufino Giron reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lin Jie. The goal made the score 1-3. Club Puerto Quito's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
