The crowd rose to their feet as Ayoví Costoya kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Guamán Arramendia. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. With a little luck, Papa Frita Futbol Club's Guamán Arramendia got control of the ball when Ayoví Costoya tried to sneak it across the goal line. Enzo Gallardo hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 10thth minute of the game Alexandre Varela who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Puerto Quito's Mauricio Precioso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ayoví Costoya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Guamán Arramendia made a huge save. After 17 minutes, Guagua Galarreta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Papa Frita Futbol Club and the Club Puerto Quito players grew even worse after the yellow card. Guagua Galarreta hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 20 minutes into the game, Club Puerto Quito's Rufino Giron nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guamán Arramendia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. When Papa Frita Futbol Club's Alexandre Varela in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Puerto Quito's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Papa Frita Futbol Club getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Xicu Echaez hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Erdinç Hayırlı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guamán Arramendia made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Rufino Giron sent off a good shot on target. Papa Frita Futbol Club were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Club Puerto Quito's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Salomon Gallaiztegui took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Salomon Gallaiztegui got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mauricio Precioso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 36 minutes into the match, Papa Frita Futbol Club's goalkeeper Guamán Arramendia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diego Narbona. Papa Frita Futbol Club's Guamán Arramendia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Papa Frita Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. In the 41st minute, Club Puerto Quito's Rufino Giron dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Guamán Arramendia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rufino Giron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 45 played minutes Club Puerto Quito got a freekick which was hit by Diego Narbona. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alexandre Varela to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Rufino Giron ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guamán Arramendia was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 57 minutes into the match, Papa Frita Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Tenorio Cuerva came free, but Guamán Arramendia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zarbonin Giraldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute, Xicu Echaez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauricio Precioso made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Guagua Galarreta sent off a good shot on target. 64 minutes into the game, Club Puerto Quito's Rufino Giron nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guamán Arramendia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rufino Giron in the 69th minute of the match. When Danny Beyso fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Papa Frita Futbol Club's protests and gave Danny Beyso a yellow card for diving instead. After 70 played minutes Papa Frita Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Danny Beyso. Tenorio Cuerva struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Guamán Arramendia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Puerto Quito. Guagua Galarreta hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After having played for 75 minutes, Ayoví Costoya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Puerto Quito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ayoví Costoya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Papa Frita Futbol Club getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Salomon Gallaiztegui hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Papa Frita Futbol Club's zone, Conrado Leo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guamán Arramendia came out of the goal and Conrado Leo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rufino Giron in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guamán Arramendia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 85 minutes of play, Club Puerto Quito's Tenorio Cuerva made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guamán Arramendia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Guamán Arramendia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tenorio Cuerva in the 88th minute of play. Guamán Arramendia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ayoví Costoya, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 91st match minute, Papa Frita Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Varela to maneuver through the defense. Armando Larrieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guamán Arramendia having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Club Puerto Quito fully deserved thier win.
