Tenorio Cuerva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tenorio Cuerva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armando Larrieta charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armando Larrieta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 17 played minutes Club Puerto Quito got a freekick which was hit by Armando Larrieta. In the 19th minute, Ramírez Marichalar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the match, Club Puerto Quito's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Lartaun came free, but Mauricio Precioso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Club Puerto Quito booed when Carlier Quinn F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klimowicz Berriz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Tenorio Cuerva made a precise shot to the right of Luis Latonero. Carlier Quinn F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Milosz Lojewski hit a great ball. 3-0 became the score in the 39th minute when Tenorio Cuerva elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Mauricio Precioso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cortez Fuente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cortez Fuente was the one to do the kick off. Club Puerto Quito's defense didn't have a chance, in the 51st minute, when Cortez Fuente scored to the left of an out of position Mauricio Precioso, making the score, 3-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tenorio Cuerva in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luis Latonero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 55 minutes, Tenorio Cuerva made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Carlier Quinn F.C.'s Luis Latonero tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 58 minutes into the match, Rufino Giron notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Carlier Quinn F.C.'s Luis Latonero. Luis Latonero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Tenorio Cuerva came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Club Puerto Quito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tenorio Cuerva couldn't finish the play. Rufino Giron scored 7-1 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luis Latonero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Tenorio Cuerva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luis Latonero was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. In the 89th minute, Enzo Gallardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mauricio Precioso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Lartaun in the 93rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Club Puerto Quito had won after a very even match.
