An unexpectedly hard shot by 孟轩青 in the 27th minute of play forced GOMEZ F.C.'s goalkeeper Silvain Labrouche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henry Ritter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodríguez Tome read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henry Ritter in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodríguez Tome saved Liga de Quito from getting behind. 37 minutes into the match, Liga de Quito's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Ritter came free, but Rodríguez Tome reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodríguez Tome showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonatan Chaime in the 39th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Liga de Quito's Iachetti Bernabeytia got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Henry Ritter stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Iachetti Bernabeytia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvain Labrouche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee ignored GOMEZ F.C.'s protests and gave Javier Marzana a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Liga de Quito booed when GOMEZ F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Marzana didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, GOMEZ F.C.'s Borja Zumiza got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the referee ended the match the Liga de Quito players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
