The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Rodrigo Oñate came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Kaiser! fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Oñate couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, GALACTICOS's Esteban Dreer got control of the ball when Ugutz Ibañez tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21st minute of the match, Ugutz Ibañez got a very nice opportunity to score, but Esteban Dreer was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 23 minutes into the match, Kaiser!'s goal looked a bit too open when Noel Hägele came free, but Esteban Dreer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kaiser!'s Esteban Dreer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elco Vid in the 25th minute of play. Armando Agusto made in the 29th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Rodrigo Oñate. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Noel Hägele in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Esteban Dreer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th minute, Ugutz Ibañez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Esteban Dreer was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elco Vid during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ugutz Ibañez was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Kaiser! getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Díaz Calonge hit a great ball. If Castillo Maridueña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. Ugutz Ibañez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Noel Hägele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Elco Vid got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 86 minutes of play, Kaiser!'s Ugutz Ibañez made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Esteban Dreer was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 95th minute Rolando Teja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteban Dreer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kaiser!'s goalkeeper Esteban Dreer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. GALACTICOS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
