YerBaTerOs's Villegas Villagarcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Hägele in the 20th minute of play. Villegas Villagarcia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Noel Hägele's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute of the match GALACTICOS got a corner. YerBaTerOs's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Andrés Hong ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dino Teles was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Esteban Dreer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zoil Soltero, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Esteban Dreer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Intriago Viles in the 27th minute of the match. Villegas Villagarcia was a little too slow when Noel Hägele got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 39th minute Noel Hägele shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Villegas Villagarcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Villegas Villagarcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Hägele in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute of the match GALACTICOS got a corner. A nice corner shot did that Andrés Hong got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Villegas Villagarcia quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

YerBaTerOs's Lucio Bruna was substituted for Héctor Gordon. YerBaTerOs's Andres Anguciana was substituted for Intriago Viles. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andres Anguciana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, José Mora got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Esteban Dreer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andres Anguciana in the 57th minute. Clóvis Lago kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After 74 minutes YerBaTerOs's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Andrés Hong who took care of the corner kick.
