The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 15th minute Angel Mena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Cañarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Costa in the 16th minute of play forced RANGER FC's goalkeeper Emilio Cañarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. West Town SC were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after RANGER FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Douglas Costa took the corner. Billy Jacquemet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osman Allo in the 24th minute of play. When West Town SC's Micael Caicedo in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Billy Jacquemet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iraitz Verdu in the 44th minute of the match. Osman Allo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Billy Jacquemet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Billy Jacquemet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osman Allo in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half RANGER FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd match minute, West Town SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Blue to maneuver through the defense. If Texeira Tolosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 60th minute Pavel Karu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Billy Jacquemet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emilio Cañarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Micael Caicedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. RANGER FC made a substitution. Xzavier Morana replaced Anakoz Lapár. RANGER FC's Klimowicz Belandia was substituted for Rodrigo Eugenio. Billy Jacquemet was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Iraitz Verdu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Iraitz Verdu really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Emilio Cañarte came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by West Town SC's Douglas Costa. But to his dismay, Douglas Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Torres Begal took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emilio Cañarte. Emilio Cañarte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. RANGER FC's Emilio Cañarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torres Begal in the 82nd minute of play. Emilio Cañarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torres Begal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the match, RANGER FC's goal looked a bit too open when Torres Begal came free, but Emilio Cañarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by RANGER FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Douglas Costa was slow to take the kick. During this time West Town SC's players had a chance to rest. Billy Jacquemet made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Iraitz Verdu sent off a good shot on target. Xzavier Morana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Jacquemet having to interfere.
