Esteban Dreer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 孟轩青's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Liga de Quito's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Díaz Calonge was slow to take the kick. During this time Kaiser!'s players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Evelio Garavilla got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rodríguez Tome quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Iachetti Bernabeytia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The corner led Liga de Quito's Lucien Senden to a score. 0-2 in the 24th minute. The audience was convinced that 孟轩青's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Esteban Dreer was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. The Liga de Quito fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Liga de Quito's 孟轩青 looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Rodrigo Oñate recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th minute, Castillo Maridueña made a precise shot to the right of Rodríguez Tome. Liga de Quito's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ugutz Ibañez to make the kick off. If Ugutz Ibañez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Liga de Quito booed when Kaiser! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xines Carbezo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd match minute, Liga de Quito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iachetti Bernabeytia to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute of the match Kaiser! got a corner. Liga de Quito's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Díaz Calonge ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Kaiser!'s corner Díaz Calonge fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rodríguez Tome quite easily take care of the ball. In the 72nd minute Rolando Teja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodríguez Tome saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Iachetti Bernabeytia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liga de Quito's supporters rose to their feet, but Iachetti Bernabeytia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esteban Dreer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rodríguez Tome showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ugutz Ibañez in the 76th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zuñiga Goyanes in the 93rd minute of play forced Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Rodríguez Tome to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodríguez Tome made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Teja in the 94th minute of play. Rodríguez Tome didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zuñiga Goyanes went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Liga de Quito eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
