After a defensive mix-up in Mamonal FC's zone, Mingo Fuenmayor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juanito Galbarruri came out of the goal and Mingo Fuenmayor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute, Monico Paya ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivon Montes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Mamonal FC's zone, Mingo Fuenmayor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juanito Galbarruri came out of the goal and Mingo Fuenmayor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Aires Zorrilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Balendin Zahonero got free with Juanito Galbarruri in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Monico Paya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivon Montes having to interfere. Ivon Montes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aires Zorrilla in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Ugaitz Orsini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, Mamonal FC's Ceandro Rajo got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute of the match Jesus Perma shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juanito Galbarruri showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sancho Minguet's late challenge caught a Mamonal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sancho Minguet helped the player get up and apologised. Sancho Minguet hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute Karlos Losada managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Aires Zorrilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Ivon Montes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Balendin Zahonero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
