The Cumbal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benigno Matheu should have stopped the shot. In the 24th match minute, Cumbal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diagur Olavarrieta to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Olaya FC's Inko Pla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benigno Matheu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Cumbal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benigno Matheu should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Remigio Pablo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Cumbal getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aires Mallen in the 73rd minute of play forced Olaya FC's goalkeeper Franko Malla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
