Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Onofre Quijada got the match started through his kick off. With a little luck, Musharaheira FC's Maule Argandoña got control of the ball when Bertin Mogoruza tried to sneak it across the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Musharaheira FC's Xian Latonero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ixona Anillo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 21st match minute, Musharaheira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmu Brena to maneuver through the defense. Ixona Anillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benicio Espinoso in the 28th minute of play. Victorino Almaguer came free with the goalkeeper in the 31st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Maule Argandoña could save by the left post. A collision led to Musharaheira FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Vistruario Francia hit a great ball. Ixona Anillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xian Latonero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xian Latonero in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ixona Anillo saved Cate from getting behind. 49 minutes into the game, Bertin Mogoruza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Musharaheira FC the free kick. In the 49th match minute, Cate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bertin Mogoruza to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xian Latonero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benicio Espinoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ixona Anillo having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Onofre Quijada ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maule Argandoña was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Vistruario Francia hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute Garcia Palacio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maule Argandoña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maule Argandoña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Onofre Quijada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the game, Vistruario Francia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After 85 played minutes, Musharaheira FC's Franco Vivar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ixona Anillo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Musharaheira FC reached it. After 86 played minutes, Musharaheira FC's Franco Vivar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ixona Anillo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Musharaheira FC reached it. An unexpected shot in the 90th minute by Xian Latonero got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Xian Latonero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 98th minute Onofre Quijada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maule Argandoña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cate's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
