If Ricardo Larrinzar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Meseta de Bucaramanga getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Nicolao Borrego hit a great ball. Andres Gasca came out of the goal and Nicolao Borrego tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andres Gasca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xacintu Loro, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belasko Rozas in the 42nd minute of play forced Puerta FC's goalkeeper Andres Gasca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andres Gasca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xacintu Loro in the 46th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After 54 minutes, Alberino Campomanes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Puerta FC and the Meseta de Bucaramanga players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th minute, one of Puerta FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Puerta FC. Puerta FC's Santos Cadiz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eugenio Seco in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 91st minute, Meseta de Bucaramanga's Belasko Rozas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. When Beltxe Alejos fell near the penalty area in the 99th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Puerta FC's protests and gave Beltxe Alejos a yellow card for diving instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Meseta de Bucaramanga had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
