The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. LaIlusion's Mederi Peiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Vellon in the 3rd minute of play. Formerio Barrallo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mederi Peiro. LaIlusion's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 6th minute, Gogo Santisteban ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roberto Oromi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. LaIlusion's Gogo Santisteban got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roberto Oromi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gogo Santisteban in the 11th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Gogo Santisteban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Oromi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 minutes of play, LaIlusion's Gogo Santisteban made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roberto Oromi was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Santander booed when LaIlusion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bento Ygnacio didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Roberto Oromi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Armental, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes in the game, Gogo Santisteban fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Roberto Oromi having to interfere. After 62 minutes, Emilio Armental mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LaIlusion and the Santander players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emilio Armental kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Gogo Santisteban might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roberto Oromi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
