The crowd rose to their feet as Athletic United's Bernebe Mieses slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lorenz Jorrin. That made the score 3-0 after 33 minutes of play. 36 minutes into the match, Athletic United's goal looked a bit too open when Eduino Garces came free, but Arnoldo Urtun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jurdan Alborza hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Fagildo Salvatierra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute.
