Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Julio Surga started the match with the kick off. Nereo Maseda succeeded in the game's 4th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. In the 8th minute, Nereo Maseda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Natal Calzado was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 19 minutes into the match, Mateconuco's goal looked a bit too open when Nereo Maseda came free, but Natal Calzado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Natal Calzado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calisto Ruidiaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Vermudo Gijon struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Natal Calzado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Otu. Natal Calzado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nereo Maseda went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Vermudo Gijon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Natal Calzado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Natal Calzado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vermudo Gijon in the 33rd minute of play. Nereo Maseda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natal Calzado having to interfere. Odon Gamboa was a little too slow when Julio Surga got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 1-3. Odon Gamboa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Julio Surga showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 40 minute of play. Nereo Maseda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nereo Maseda was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jordi Teijon during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Otu's Jordi Teijon got a free kick in the 57th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vermudo Gijon got free with Natal Calzado in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julio Surga in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Odon Gamboa saved Otu from getting behind. The supporters of Mateconuco booed when Otu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calisto Ruidiaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute of the match Freddy Lerdo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Odon Gamboa skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Otu's zone, Montez Mesia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Odon Gamboa came out of the goal and Montez Mesia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, Nereo Maseda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Gregory Elguera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Montez Mesia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Natal Calzado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Maseda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Odon Gamboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Surga in the 78th minute of play. In the 83rd minute Mateconuco were awarded a corner. Freddy Lerdo went to the cornerflag to take it. Odon Gamboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Montez Mesia in the 91st minute of play. Vermudo Gijon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Natal Calzado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Otu's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
