After 9 minutes, Tono Saribiarte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ayapel FC and the Deportivo Zaragoza FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gerazan Licon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Martin Fabeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Soter Baca kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Loramendi Millares was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 14th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A hard shot 16 in the game by Nikola Castellvi from a close distance when the talented Martino Villegas managed to make a qualified save. Deportivo Zaragoza FC's players were relieved. Nikola Castellvi took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Martino Villegas. Martino Villegas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Soter Baca in the 25th minute of play forced Ayapel FC's goalkeeper Martin Fabeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frederik Muelas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Martino Villegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Zaragoza FC's zone, Nikola Castellvi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martino Villegas came out of the goal and Nikola Castellvi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martino Villegas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frederik Muelas's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Gerazan Licon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Martin Fabeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Ayapel FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Tono Saribiarte hit a great ball. After 38 played minutes Ayapel FC got a freekick which was hit by Loramendi Millares. Martino Villegas made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Nikola Castellvi sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Iaki Frances managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Zaragoza FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Iaki Frances was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Fabeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerazan Licon to strike the kick off in the second half. Deportivo Zaragoza FC's Martino Villegas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikola Castellvi in the 53rd minute of play. Gerazan Licon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Fabeiro having to interfere. Danilo Mazule's late challenge caught a Deportivo Zaragoza FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danilo Mazule helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st minute, Danilo Mazule hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerazan Licon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Zaragoza FC's goalkeeper Martino Villegas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ayapel FC's Nikola Castellvi got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frederik Muelas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Martino Villegas having to make a save. Nikola Castellvi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romano Sarratea was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 78 minutes into the match. Loramendi Millares shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Martino Villegas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikola Castellvi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martino Villegas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikola Castellvi in the 90th minute of the match. Iaki Frances kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. When Nikola Castellvi came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Ayapel FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikola Castellvi couldn't finish the play. Nikola Castellvi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Martino Villegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 99 played minutes Deportivo Zaragoza FC got a freekick which was hit by Harkaitz Villegas. In the 100th minute of the match Loramendi Millares shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martino Villegas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
