Bembe Irazabal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandalio Arganza having to interfere. Mirande Castreciones's late challenge caught a Cota FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mirande Castreciones helped the player get up and apologised. Mirande Castreciones hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Burni Paredes notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Chachafruto FC's Rito Canto. Rito Canto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ildephonso Tijero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandalio Arganza was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Cebrian Escajedo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cebrian Escajedo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ildephonso Tijero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In a very dangerous position, a player in Chachafruto FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! Ildephonso Tijero struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Rito Canto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cota FC. The Cota FC fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Cota FC's Ildephonso Tijero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Bembe Irazabal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandalio Arganza having to interfere. Chachafruto FC's Rito Canto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Chachafruto FC from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute, Bembe Irazabal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sandalio Arganza was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 80th minute, Burni Paredes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benito Gallegos kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Ildephonso Tijero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chachafruto FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
