After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Veto Ariztimuño managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind CD Jpipe González's goalkeeper Ben Foster, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 39 minutes into the game, Jörgen Östensson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Jpipe González's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chirripo FC the free kick. The supporters of Chirripo FC booed when CD Jpipe González was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörgen Östensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 41 minutes of play, CD Jpipe González's Estevao Peinador made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Etxekopar Sarandeses was left in no man's land by his defense there! Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Caracakingo Navariega to make the kick off. Veto Ariztimuño struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Etxekopar Sarandeses didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Jpipe González. Eduardo Ardanza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th match minute, CD Jpipe González was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lore Salvadores to maneuver through the defense. Etxekopar Sarandeses showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Ardanza in the 63rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in CD Jpipe González's zone, Odilon Hoyuela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ben Foster came out of the goal and Odilon Hoyuela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eduardo Ardanza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Etxekopar Sarandeses tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Veto Ariztimuño blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Etxekopar Sarandeses having to make a save. Veto Ariztimuño could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Etxekopar Sarandeses made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Eduardo Ardanza kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Etxekopar Sarandeses. That made the score 0-5 in the 83 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Chirripo FC's Iigo Zuaza got a free kick in the 90th minute. Chirripo FC's Etxekopar Sarandeses proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Chirripo FC from getting a goal against them.
