Spectators: 6709 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Potrerillos's zone, Melquiades Dosal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elpidio Sobremonte came out of the goal and Melquiades Dosal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Potrerillos booed when Melendez FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lauaxeta Cabanela didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute of the match Eneas Urbiso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Haritzeder Ortiz skillfully saved the ball. Ronaldinho Tarresola kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After having played for 13 minutes, Hechter Penas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Potrerillos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hechter Penas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Hechter Penas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Melendez FC's Haritzeder Ortiz. Haritzeder Ortiz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 21 minutes into the game, Erroman Bevia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Melendez FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Potrerillos the free kick. After 21 played minutes Melendez FC got a freekick which was hit by Erroman Bevia. 23 minutes into the match, Bernardo Castellon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Elpidio Sobremonte, 1-1. Hats Fandoz didn't quite understand what happened when in the 38 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. In the 40th minute Bernardo Castellon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Sobremonte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Potrerillos's Elpidio Sobremonte got control of the ball when Melquiades Dosal tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernardo Castellon to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Castellon in the 60th minute of play forced Potrerillos's goalkeeper Elpidio Sobremonte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haritzeder Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hechter Penas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Bernardo Castellon came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Melendez FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Castellon couldn't finish the play. Melquiades Dosal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Elpidio Sobremonte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 65 played minutes Potrerillos got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldinho Tarresola. Elpidio Sobremonte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Castellon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Melendez FC's Haritzeder Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hechter Penas in the 69th minute of play. If Bernardo Castellon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melquiades Dosal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elpidio Sobremonte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Haritzeder Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hechter Penas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elpidio Sobremonte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Castellon in the 76th minute of play. After some careless play in the Potrerillos defense, Melquiades Dosal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elpidio Sobremonte. The Potrerillos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elpidio Sobremonte should have stopped the shot. Melendez FC's Melquiades Dosal got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Bernardo Castellon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 96 minutes, Erroman Bevia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melendez FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erroman Bevia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Melendez FC had won after a very even match.
