Spectators: 6712 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 0) Martin's Florencio Baez started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sombreillo's Constancio Sotolongo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Baez in the 7th minute of play. Cosme Maneiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Constancio Sotolongo having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Martin's Llorienzo Roberto got a free kick in the 14th minute. Justino Cabrales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celedonio Samperio having to interfere. When the match had been going on for 22 minutes, Sombreillo's Modesto Borines got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Celedonio Samperio. After having played for 25 minutes, Cosme Maneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Martin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cosme Maneiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Florencio Baez came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Martin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florencio Baez couldn't finish the play. In the 44th minute, Florencio Baez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Martin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

55 minutes into the match, Sombreillo's Kusko Reboiras sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Celedonio Samperio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Martin's Celedonio Samperio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ximenez Remolina in the 61st minute of play. The supporters of Sombreillo booed when Martin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osasun Lugardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ximenez Remolina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cosme Maneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Constancio Sotolongo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sombreillo's Constancio Sotolongo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Sombreillo from getting a goal against them. 79 minutes into the match, Sombreillo's goal looked a bit too open when Florencio Baez came free, but Constancio Sotolongo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute, Florencio Baez fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Constancio Sotolongo, passed just outside the right post. Celedonio Samperio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kusko Reboiras in the 93rd minute of play. The supporters of Martin booed when Sombreillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diagur Blazquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Virgilio Reve, 96 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When the match was over Martin could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sombreillo throughout the match.
