Onofre Mesia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Viinikainen went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Onofre Mesia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Viinikainen in the 13th minute of play. Mirande Henao could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Gutierre Cantero made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Viinikainen in the 27th minute of play forced Servita FC's goalkeeper Onofre Mesia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan-Alfredo Castelao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Onofre Mesia having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, La Junior's goal looked a bit too open when Nelio Torre came free, but Gutierre Cantero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elvio Llano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Mirande Henao might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gutierre Cantero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mirande Henao ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 55th match minute, La Junior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Pi to maneuver through the defense. After 56 played minutes, Servita FC's Raebert Herenchun shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gutierre Cantero came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Servita FC reached it. Gutierre Cantero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delfino Serena in the 60th minute of play. The supporters of Servita FC booed when La Junior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Umea Lamadrid didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the match, La Junior's Daniel Viinikainen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Onofre Mesia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Intxixu Moracia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Onofre Mesia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to La Junior getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. La Junior's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
