Dalmu Torcida charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dalmu Torcida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Batista Aranzabal struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Rodolfo Bobe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inmemorial María José FC. In the 14th minute of the match Salvador Durazno shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodolfo Bobe showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tabb Alday recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patricio Caller got free with Ermegildo Guifens in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Patricio Caller could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Ermegildo Guifens made a huge save. Ermegildo Guifens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Camporredondo in the 24th minute of the match. In the 28th minute Jorge Camporredondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Guifens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Mavicure FC booed when Inmemorial María José FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnulfo Aza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Caller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Guifens having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Inmemorial María José FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Camporredondo came free, but Ermegildo Guifens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Inmemorial María José FC's Arnulfo Aza got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After 47 played minutes Mavicure FC got a freekick which was hit by Fix Morga. Salvador Durazno was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 48th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jorge Camporredondo made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Inmemorial María José FC got a freekick which was hit by Lop Basaran. Patricio Caller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorge Camporredondo in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ermegildo Guifens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Patricio Caller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Ermegildo Guifens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mavicure FC's Jorge Camporredondo got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 80 minutes, Paulino Rosello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inmemorial María José FC and the Mavicure FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Inmemorial María José FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Paulino Rosello hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Dalmu Torcida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Mavicure FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Viator Algorta hit a great ball. Jorge Camporredondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th match minute, Mavicure FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viator Algorta to maneuver through the defense. The Inmemorial María José FC fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Inmemorial María José FC's Tabb Alday looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
