Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Domeka Araoz kicked off to start the match. An unexpected shot in the 3rd minute by Lourenco Millera got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Xarles Guereña's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lazcano Barrio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, Cañoneros club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolado Gill to maneuver through the defense. Lourenco Millera in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Romildo Helguero, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 16 minutes into the match, Cañoneros club's goal looked a bit too open when Domeka Araoz came free, but Romildo Helguero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cañoneros club's zone, Lourenco Millera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romildo Helguero came out of the goal and Lourenco Millera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute Domeka Araoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romildo Helguero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domeka Araoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romildo Helguero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lourenco Millera went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Lourenco Millera's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Romildo Helguero skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cañoneros club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Domeka Araoz scored to the left of an out of position Romildo Helguero, making the score, 2-0. Romildo Helguero made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Lourenco Millera sent off a good shot on target. Lourenco Millera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Romildo Helguero made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lourenco Millera got free with Romildo Helguero in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Cortijo booed when Cañoneros club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Louis Pereceira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute, Domeka Araoz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gaizka Eleizalde to strike the kick off in the second half. Domeka Araoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Romildo Helguero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Camilo Aya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaizka Eleizalde in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lazcano Barrio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Cañoneros club's zone, Lourenco Millera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romildo Helguero came out of the goal and Lourenco Millera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Lourenco Millera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romildo Helguero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domeka Araoz in the 80th minute of play. If Lourenco Millera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. Lourenco Millera blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romildo Helguero having to make a save. 86 minutes into the match, Domeka Araoz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Romildo Helguero. Cañoneros club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Domeka Araoz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Romildo Helguero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domeka Araoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Domeka Araoz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lourenco Millera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romildo Helguero having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Cortijo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
