In the 12th minute, Isaio Cardeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the match, Yalu FC's goalkeeper Justin Angles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xarles Guereña. Camilo Aya hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 20 minutes into the game, Camilo Aya was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cañoneros club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yalu FC the free kick. Camilo Aya kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Giro Llacin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Romildo Helguero. Cañoneros club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rolado Gill during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 25 played minutes Cañoneros club got a freekick which was hit by Rolado Gill. 27 minutes into the game, Matxin Deza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Romildo Helguero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 32 minutes into the match, Yalu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaizka Eleizalde came free, but Justin Angles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cañoneros club's Gora Roson shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 36th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Justin Angles but with some difficulty. Lucila Agado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romildo Helguero having to make a save. Matxin Deza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romildo Helguero having to interfere. Cañoneros club's Romildo Helguero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matxin Deza in the 46th minute of play. Isaio Cardeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matxin Deza made a kick off. A collision led to Yalu FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Isaio Cardeiro hit a great ball. Ongile Peredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Romildo Helguero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaizka Eleizalde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isaio Cardeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isaio Cardeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Matxin Deza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yalu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Matxin Deza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romildo Helguero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Romildo Helguero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guib Mantilla in the 73rd minute of the match. Matxin Deza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Yalu FC booed when Cañoneros club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Aya didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matxin Deza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 88th match minute, Cañoneros club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Aya to maneuver through the defense. After 89 played minutes, Yalu FC's Giro Llacin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Romildo Helguero came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Yalu FC reached it. After 90 played minutes Cañoneros club got a freekick which was hit by Ruy Piedeconcha. 91 minutes into the game Giro Llacin kicked a great long shot which passed Romildo Helguero straight ahead into the goal, Result 0-3. One couldn't see Giro Llacin behind all of his teammates who surrounded to congratulate him. Yalu FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
