The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 25th minute Richie Barcaiztegui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Montae Zuazna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Venancio's late challenge caught a Lagartera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Venancio helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Lagartera booed when Salomon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
