After a defensive mix-up in Hondo FC's zone, Goren Errarte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Belmiro Castaño came out of the goal and Goren Errarte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 24 minutes into the game, Pitin Galli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hondo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ONCE AZUL FDC the free kick. The supporters of ONCE AZUL FDC booed when Hondo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pitin Galli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pascual Barbosa was a little too slow when Paulino Vaquerizo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 1-1. Paulino Vaquerizo scored 2-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pascual Barbosa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 45th match minute, ONCE AZUL FDC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nataniel Retana to maneuver through the defense. Emesto Gobantes shot from long distance in the 46th minute, but Pascual Barbosa was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Santiago Pla to make the kick off. Paulino Vaquerizo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Pascual Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ONCE AZUL FDC's Pascual Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnau Cardeiro in the 55th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Mauro Magaz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Hondo FC's goalkeeper Belmiro Castaño had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Goren Errarte. Pascual Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnau Cardeiro in the 64th minute of play. Pitin Galli hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute of the match Guerau Hijosa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Belmiro Castaño showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnau Cardeiro in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pascual Barbosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 72 minutes into the game, Hondo FC's Mauro Magaz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pascual Barbosa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 76 minutes into the game, Emilio Ruy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hondo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ONCE AZUL FDC the free kick. In the 76th match minute, Hondo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Ruy to maneuver through the defense. Pascual Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnau Cardeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Paulino Vaquerizo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pascual Barbosa having to interfere. In the 84thth minute of the game Arnau Cardeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ONCE AZUL FDC's Pascual Barbosa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Paulino Vaquerizo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hondo FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
