After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Bogotá's zone, Hermelando Castañondo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bidari Ferrero came out of the goal and Hermelando Castañondo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute, Hermelando Castañondo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Unax Vinambres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Unax Vinambres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bidari Ferrero having to make a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Valente Tabliega made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Tomachipan FC's Teodoro Bargas got a free kick in the 55th minute. Sporting Bogotá's Bidari Ferrero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Unax Vinambres in the 58th minute of play. Tomachipan FC's Nikola Buison proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Tomachipan FC from getting a goal against them. In the 62nd minute Hermelando Castañondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bidari Ferrero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Tomachipan FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sporting Bogotá's performance. The match ended with a win for Sporting Bogotá.
