Yader Galaz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Magnolia FC's Yader Galaz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Magnolia FC from getting a goal against them. In the 13th minute, Andoni Saribiarte reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Yader Galaz. The goal made the score 2-0. Ostots Respaldizar kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Primeiro Baranda in the 18th minute of play forced Guasabaro's goalkeeper Severiano Cura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Severiano Cura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omero Paradelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. If Saverio Ferreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Omero Paradelo fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Magnolia FC's protests and gave Omero Paradelo a yellow card for diving instead. Omero Paradelo hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Andoni Saribiarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Yader Galaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 2-1 became the score in the 31st minute when Saverio Ferreiro elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Guasabaro's Jairo Valdueza couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 37th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Magnolia FC. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

After some careless play in the Magnolia FC defense, Tancredo Montoya kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yader Galaz. The Magnolia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yader Galaz should have stopped the shot. In the 58th minute, Tancredo Montoya left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guasabaro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tancredo Montoya in the 83rd minute of play forced Magnolia FC's goalkeeper Yader Galaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Magnolia FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Paulo Trigueros hit a great ball. Saverio Ferreiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Severiano Cura read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Tancredo Montoya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
