The Malena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Eufemio Lino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vedillo Tabares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Malena's Erramu Mor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Malena from getting a goal against them. Mambru Montane hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Eufemio Lino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vedillo Tabares in the 22nd minute of play. Eufemio Lino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vedillo Tabares went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Eufemio Lino came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Malena's Lobo Zaldierna. But to his dismay, Lobo Zaldierna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Eufemio Lino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vedillo Tabares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Malena's Rolando Teijeira got a free kick in the 41st minute. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 43rd minute, when Millonarios FC's Adolfo Doblas after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Erramu Mor in Malena's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. In the 46thth minute of the game Evelio Castrillon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Malena's Erramu Mor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 47th play minutes Evelio Castrillon shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Erramu Mor and just under the crossbar into goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evelio Castrillon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Cristos Sendeño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eufemio Lino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pueblo Vasquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Erramu Mor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Millonarios FC's Evelio Castrillon in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Malena's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by Lobo Zaldierna got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 74th minute, Malena's Vedillo Tabares ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eufemio Lino. Eufemio Lino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Evelio Castrillon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Rolando Teijeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the match, Vedillo Tabares dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eufemio Lino, 1-6. After 93 played minutes, Millonarios FC's Adolfo Doblas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Erramu Mor came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Millonarios FC reached it. The audience was convinced that Evelio Castrillon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erramu Mor was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Malena's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
