Ovando Barrenechea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Canor Nueva having to interfere. Joaquin Olaiz struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Canor Nueva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gesen. A collision led to aguilas getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Benet Nuñez hit a great ball. Joaquin Olaiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Canor Nueva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ovando Barrenechea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Canor Nueva made a huge save. Ovando Barrenechea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Maurilio Camara charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maurilio Camara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th match minute, Gesen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dacio Amieva to maneuver through the defense. Claudinei Garabito took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lorenz Gandara. Lorenz Gandara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Claudinei Garabito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the match, Gesen's Joaquin Olaiz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Canor Nueva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Canor Nueva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquin Olaiz in the 58th minute of play. If Joaquin Olaiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, aguilas's goal looked a bit too open when Ovando Barrenechea came free, but Canor Nueva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd match minute, aguilas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benet Nuñez to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute of the match Rogerio Coya shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Canor Nueva showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquin Olaiz in the 76th minute of play forced aguilas's goalkeeper Canor Nueva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ovando Barrenechea came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Gesen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ovando Barrenechea couldn't finish the play. After 88 played minutes, Gesen's Rogerio Coya shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Canor Nueva came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gesen reached it. The supporters of aguilas booed when Gesen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovando Barrenechea didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 93 minutes, Ovando Barrenechea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gesen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ovando Barrenechea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ovando Barrenechea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. aguilas had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
