An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliciano Husarte in the 11th minute of play forced Barboza's goalkeeper Cordareo Arenas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Lorenzo Berzosa was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 19 minutes had been played. If Ioritz Palmero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ekaitz Canonega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ioritz Palmero in the 25th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Zuriko Valdemoro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mesopotamia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barboza the free kick. After 32 played minutes Mesopotamia got a freekick which was hit by Zuriko Valdemoro. Ioritz Palmero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Feliciano Husarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Cordareo Arenas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ioritz Palmero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ekaitz Canonega having to make a save. 43 minutes into the match, Barboza's goal looked a bit too open when Feliciano Husarte came free, but Cordareo Arenas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After 52 played minutes Barboza got a freekick which was hit by Libertad Sierra. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Feliciano Husarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mesopotamia's supporters rose to their feet, but Feliciano Husarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cordareo Arenas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 56 minutes into the match, Mesopotamia's Feliciano Husarte sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cordareo Arenas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Feliciano Husarte could shoot a difficult shot in the 61st minute, which Cordareo Arenas however easily saved by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Santi Aumada managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mesopotamia's supporters rose to their feet, but Santi Aumada was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cordareo Arenas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arixo Palacio got free with Cordareo Arenas in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Barboza's Raymond Ochari got a free kick in the 67th minute. Arixo Palacio kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Enaut Cotillo hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Feliciano Husarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Cordareo Arenas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Feliciano Husarte did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Cordareo Arenas 81 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Santi Aumada managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mesopotamia's supporters rose to their feet, but Santi Aumada was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cordareo Arenas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Feliciano Husarte who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Cordareo Arenas when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
