Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Montanuela FC's Chinto Nougaro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cedro Gallinas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nerio Chapado in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of Montanuela FC booed when Palestra Bogotá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pepe Liendo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Montanuela FC's Raulo Pardemanos broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Joachim Babiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Eliseo Aquejano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cedro Gallinas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chinto Nougaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Palestra Bogotá's Cedro Gallinas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Palestra Bogotá from getting a goal against them. Zuberoa Archibeque in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cedro Gallinas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 27th match minute, Montanuela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raulo Pardemanos to maneuver through the defense. Zuberoa Archibeque kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Prospero Jorge in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliseo Aquejano saved Montanuela FC from getting behind. Prospero Jorge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseo Aquejano having to interfere. Eliseo Aquejano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joachim Babiano in the 41st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Patrido Belon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cedro Gallinas. That made the score 3-0 in the 47 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Prospero Jorge made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes, Palestra Bogotá's Osvaldo Toldra shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eliseo Aquejano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Palestra Bogotá reached it. In the 57th minute, Prospero Jorge got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joachim Babiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 63 played minutes Palestra Bogotá got a freekick which was hit by Pepe Liendo. Joachim Babiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Eliseo Aquejano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Palestra Bogotá's Prospero Jorge ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eliseo Aquejano. Eliseo Aquejano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Montanuela FC's zone, Joachim Babiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliseo Aquejano came out of the goal and Joachim Babiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The attack was good, but when Prospero Jorge in the 75th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After a defensive mix-up in Palestra Bogotá's zone, Patrido Belon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cedro Gallinas came out of the goal and Patrido Belon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 78 minutes into the game, Ramiro Sevilla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montanuela FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palestra Bogotá the free kick. Prospero Jorge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the match, Montanuela FC's goalkeeper Eliseo Aquejano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joachim Babiano. Eliseo Aquejano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prospero Jorge, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After having played for 87 minutes, Joachim Babiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palestra Bogotá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joachim Babiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joachim Babiano got free with Eliseo Aquejano in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the Palestra Bogotá players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Montanuela FC.
