The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Arias Cortada fired a really elegant long shot, but Donato Enciso threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. 5 minutes into the game, Gutierrre Sarricolea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Herminio Castelao was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 9 minutes into the match, Amborquito FC's goalkeeper Donato Enciso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Cañas. A collision led to Amborquito FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Cordairo Lizanein hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osoro Gayoso in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donato Enciso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee felt a red card was in order, 13 minutes into the game, when Enrique Oñiderra put in a rough tackle. Nazario Charri took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Herminio Castelao. Cabrales FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Amborquito FC's Cordairo Lizanein got a free kick in the 15th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Osoro Gayoso kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Donato Enciso. That made the score 1-1 in the 20 minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Archibaldo Gainzarain reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Donato Enciso. The goal made the score 2-1. After 26 minutes, Mino Vaz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cabrales FC and the Amborquito FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cabrales FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Amborquito FC a penalty, 27 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nazario Charri, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cabrales FC's Herminio Castelao. 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gutierrre Sarricolea in the 32nd minute of play forced Cabrales FC's goalkeeper Herminio Castelao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34th play minutes Osoro Gayoso shot 3-2, a short shot which went by Donato Enciso and just under the crossbar into goal. Gaspar Madrid struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Donato Enciso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cabrales FC. Donato Enciso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osoro Gayoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Blai Pan's late challenge caught a Cabrales FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blai Pan helped the player get up and apologised. Blai Pan hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Cabrales FC's Donato Enciso threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Osoro Gayoso, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

Osoro Gayoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Enciso having to interfere. Osoro Gayoso charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Osoro Gayoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Amborquito FC booed when Cabrales FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osoro Gayoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute Osoro Gayoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Enciso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64thth minute of the game Osoro Gayoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Amborquito FC's Donato Enciso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Osoro Gayoso took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donato Enciso. Donato Enciso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osoro Gayoso in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal.
