Braulio Vizcaino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chabier Sanez in the 13th minute of play forced Real Madrid's goalkeeper Braulio Vizcaino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Maquina del Mal's Macias Lopez got a free kick in the 30th minute. Osasun Vedeja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belmiro Albiz having to interfere.
