The audience thought a goal was coming when Platon Cordoba got free with Bartoleme Licher in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Platon Cordoba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chabier Sanez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, Inigo Oyaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Platon Cordoba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. Maquina del Mal's supporters rose to their feet, but Chabier Sanez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bartoleme Licher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Platon Cordoba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Chabier Sanez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 66 minutes, Obano Angosto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maquina del Mal and the Teeshirruhu players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Maquina del Mal's zone, Inigo Oyaga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Belmiro Albiz came out of the goal and Inigo Oyaga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Macias Lopez hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
