Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Florian's Hernan Sesse started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Urti Ubidea during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 4 played minutes Florian got a freekick which was hit by Urti Ubidea. 5 minutes into the match, Florian's goalkeeper Baristo Caceo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Urtzi Acebes. Hernan Sesse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute, Osvaldo Botas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Baristo Caceo. The goal made the score 1-0. Mark Calonge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernan Sesse, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Florian's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Botas came free, but Baristo Caceo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ritchie Palazuelos during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Florian booed when Guachane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ritchie Palazuelos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldo Botas in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baristo Caceo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Isauro Ruescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baristo Caceo having to interfere. Isauro Ruescas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Baristo Caceo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ritchie Palazuelos got his second yellow card in the match during the 25th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 25 played minutes Guachane got a freekick which was hit by Ritchie Palazuelos. After 30 minutes, Delmar Orue mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guachane and the Florian players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Guachane fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Florian a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jakes Madaria, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Guachane's Mark Calonge. 1-1. 35 minutes into the match, Urti Ubidea notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Guachane's Mark Calonge. Mark Calonge was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isauro Ruescas got free with Baristo Caceo in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Isauro Ruescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isauro Ruescas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 45th minute. Guachane's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a defensive mix-up in Florian's zone, Urtzi Acebes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baristo Caceo came out of the goal and Urtzi Acebes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 48th minute, Isauro Ruescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Isauro Ruescas to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Florian defense, Isauro Ruescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baristo Caceo. The Florian fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baristo Caceo should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urti Ubidea in the 60th minute of play forced Guachane's goalkeeper Mark Calonge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urti Ubidea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mark Calonge having to make a save. Urti Ubidea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baristo Caceo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isauro Ruescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. When Virgilio Taboada fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Florian's protests and gave Virgilio Taboada a yellow card for diving instead. In the 73rd minute, Virgilio Taboada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 79 minutes, Clis Castellano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Florian and the Guachane players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 79 played minutes Florian got a freekick which was hit by Clis Castellano. Mark Calonge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Sesse in the 81st minute of play. Hernan Sesse received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mark Calonge came out and tried to block the shot, but Hernan Sesse slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 87th minute. Osvaldo Botas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baristo Caceo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Isauro Ruescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guachane's supporters rose to their feet, but Isauro Ruescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baristo Caceo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Osvaldo Botas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldo Botas might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baristo Caceo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Osvaldo Botas ran back to his position shaking his head. Florian were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Guachane's much stronger midfield.
