The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Vennancio Mendiola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rico Udoy in the 7th minute of play. In the 10th minute Mauricio Solar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efren Caneda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Cristiano Pueyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Frances Piñero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabio Palazuelo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vennancio Mendiola read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Vennancio Mendiola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frances Piñero, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 33rdth minute of the game Fabio Palazuelo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Junior's Vennancio Mendiola was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Garcia Fano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jarayasatu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Junior the free kick. After a rather tough play, Jarayasatu's Garcia Fano got a free kick in the 36th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Atlético Junior's Mauricio Solar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Efren Caneda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Txartiko Peñaranda struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Efren Caneda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Junior. If Mauricio Solar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabio Palazuelo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Txartiko Peñaranda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vennancio Mendiola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Palazuelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 66 minutes into the game, Atlético Junior's Txartiko Peñaranda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Efren Caneda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Fabio Palazuelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabio Palazuelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vennancio Mendiola having to interfere. 73 minutes into the game, Jarayasatu's Frances Piñero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vennancio Mendiola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Gorri Errasti hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Rico Udoy charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rico Udoy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Jarayasatu getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Rico Udoy hit a great ball. Mauricio Solar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Txartiko Peñaranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Jarayasatu players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Atlético Junior from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
