Chaquiluto's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rocio Valaguer in the 20th minute. Laureano Villachica was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 22 minutes into the match, Chaquiluto's Denis Arias sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Micael Licon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Alessandro Rios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Micael Licon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Denis Arias's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In the 30th minute Denis Arias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Micael Licon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denis Arias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Micael Licon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Betadur Betolaza's late challenge caught a Chaquiluto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Betadur Betolaza helped the player get up and apologised. Betadur Betolaza hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. If Denis Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 41 minutes, Rayman Hidalgo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chaquiluto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rayman Hidalgo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Betadur Betolaza hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Nazario Haza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Micael Licon having to interfere. If Denis Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Chaquiluto were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Denis Arias to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the game, Nazario Haza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chaquiluto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alcazar FC the free kick. After 57 played minutes Chaquiluto got a freekick which was hit by Nazario Haza. If Denis Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute Denis Arias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Micael Licon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Arias in the 78th minute of play forced Alcazar FC's goalkeeper Micael Licon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denis Arias hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Rayman Hidalgo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Micael Licon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Alcazar FC's Alessandro Rios got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chaquiluto's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
