When Rocio Valaguer fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chaquiluto's protests and gave Rocio Valaguer a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Chaquiluto's Rocio Valaguer got a free kick in the 6th minute. When Braulio Govantes came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Montefrio FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Braulio Govantes couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Montefrio FC's zone, Denis Arias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Israel Tigero came out of the goal and Denis Arias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Chaquiluto getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Nazario Haza hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Govantes in the 17th minute of play forced Chaquiluto's goalkeeper Arnau Moriz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rayman Hidalgo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rayman Hidalgo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Israel Tigero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 23 played minutes Chaquiluto got a freekick which was hit by Roger Queiruga. Arnau Moriz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braulio Govantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. If Emenon Godines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Braulio Govantes struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Arnau Moriz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montefrio FC. If Emenon Godines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

52 minutes into the game, Laureano Villachica was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chaquiluto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montefrio FC the free kick. Laureano Villachica hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 85th match minute, Chaquiluto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baumer Lezama to maneuver through the defense. Arixo Alija took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arnau Moriz. Chaquiluto's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 95 minutes of play Chaquiluto's Nazario Haza was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Chaquiluto walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
