Vito Tornero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernad Jimenez in the 16th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Rayo Vallecano de Madrid's Harold Preciado dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 37th minute, Harold Preciado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Harold Preciado made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Tonete Villavedon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rayo Vallecano de Madrid's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galindes FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Rayo Vallecano de Madrid's Tonete Villavedon got a free kick in the 51st minute. Bernad Jimenez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomi Mauriz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harold Preciado in the 58th minute of the match. In the 63rdth minute of the game Harold Preciado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galindes FC's Tomi Mauriz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benjamin Errasti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomi Mauriz having to interfere. After 69th play minutes Bernad Jimenez shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Vito Tornero and just under the crossbar into goal. Marquez Miel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Vito Tornero made a huge save. Andrés Pérez's late challenge caught a Galindes FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andrés Pérez helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Rayo Vallecano de Madrid's Andrés Pérez got a free kick in the 74th minute. If Marquez Miel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomi Mauriz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Harold Preciado went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 85th minute, Harold Preciado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rayo Vallecano de Madrid fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After 88 minutes of play, Rayo Vallecano de Madrid's Benjamin Errasti made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomi Mauriz was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 94 played minutes Rayo Vallecano de Madrid got a freekick which was hit by Yerry Mina. Marquez Miel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Vito Tornero made a huge save. Galindes FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
