Christovao Olaiz's late challenge caught a Barrilete Cósmico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christovao Olaiz helped the player get up and apologised. NACIONAL F.C were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Barrilete Cósmico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Juan-Carlos Miña took the corner. After 48 played minutes, NACIONAL F.C's Pueblo Zarza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luis-Antonio Avecilla came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in NACIONAL F.C reached it. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaizka Villafuentes was the one to do the kick off. When Esdras Ayllon fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barrilete Cósmico's protests and gave Esdras Ayllon a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of NACIONAL F.C booed when Barrilete Cósmico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esdras Ayllon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 67 minutes, Cordaro Huemen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barrilete Cósmico and the NACIONAL F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Despite close surveillance by the defense, Barea Leiro managed to send off a shot that put the ball into the goal to the left of a disappointed goalkeeper. 1-1 in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiniebra Oribe in the 78th minute of play forced NACIONAL F.C's goalkeeper Zayvion Obaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zayvion Obaya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiniebra Oribe, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Zayvion Obaya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiniebra Oribe in the 81st minute of play. Luis-Antonio Avecilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jose Ziarza's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
