The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cabañitas Dfc's Emmanuel Canado got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pastor Baruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lastur Minilo having to interfere. Guilabertus Santiuste received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Quique Burriaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Hojas FC defense, Cucao Moñiz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Quique Burriaga. The Hojas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Quique Burriaga should have stopped the shot. In the 18th minute Freddy Vilardell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lastur Minilo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Freddy Vilardell in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lastur Minilo saved Cabañitas Dfc from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Jerrald Villapun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hojas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerrald Villapun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lastur Minilo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elizardo Maeztu charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elizardo Maeztu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guilabertus Santiuste in the 32nd minute of play forced Hojas FC's goalkeeper Quique Burriaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Jerrald Villapun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lastur Minilo. Cabañitas Dfc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jerrald Villapun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Cucao Moñiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kaxen Ramin hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After having played for 48 minutes, Cucao Moñiz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cabañitas Dfc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cucao Moñiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Freddy Vilardell to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Cabañitas Dfc got a freekick which was hit by Xan Mascareñas. Lastur Minilo made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Jerrald Villapun sent off a good shot on target. 56 minutes into the match, Cabañitas Dfc's goalkeeper Lastur Minilo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerrald Villapun. After having played for 58 minutes, Freddy Vilardell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hojas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Freddy Vilardell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Quique Burriaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cucao Moñiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Lastur Minilo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Vilardell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 68 played minutes Cabañitas Dfc got a freekick which was hit by Guilabertus Santiuste. 69 minutes into the game, Pastor Baruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hojas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cabañitas Dfc the free kick. In the 69th minute, Pastor Baruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jerrald Villapun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quique Burriaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cucao Moñiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. A collision led to Cabañitas Dfc getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Emmanuel Canado hit a great ball. In the last second Lastur Minilo throw himself and got hold of the ball when Freddy Vilardell in the 80thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerrald Villapun got free with Lastur Minilo in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jerrald Villapun who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Lastur Minilo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Hojas FC's Jerrald Villapun got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Hojas FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hojas FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
