In the 2nd minute, Manuelo Roca made a precise shot to the right of Quique Burriaga. Hojas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Thanks to some nice moves Jerrald Villapun could shoot a difficult shot in the 11th minute, which Luke Carabia however easily saved by the left post. Quique Burriaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuelo Roca, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 18th minute Artaldo Cogollor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quique Burriaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jerigua FC's Manuelo Roca in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hojas FC's goalie prevented a goal. Jerrald Villapun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luke Carabia having to make a save. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hojas FC's goalkeeper Quique Burriaga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Jerrald Villapun got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Luke Carabia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jerrald Villapun in the 29th minute. When Freddy Vilardell came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Hojas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddy Vilardell couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd match minute, Hojas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pastor Baruz to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Hojas FC's Freddy Vilardell got a free kick in the 35th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerrald Villapun got free with Luke Carabia in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half Jerigua FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Artaldo Cogollor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Quique Burriaga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th match minute, Jerigua FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralondo Videgaray to maneuver through the defense. Freddy Vilardell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Luke Carabia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Feliberto Loyola was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jerigua FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hojas FC the free kick. After 60 played minutes Jerigua FC got a freekick which was hit by Feliberto Loyola. Jerrald Villapun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luke Carabia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerrald Villapun, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Freddy Vilardell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luke Carabia having to interfere. If Manuelo Roca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerrald Villapun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Quique Burriaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuelo Roca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luke Carabia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Vilardell in the 96th minute of play. After 96 minutes, Jacinto Florez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jerigua FC and the Hojas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Jerigua FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Jacinto Florez hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Jerigua FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
