Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Asteri Salamanca started the match with the kick off. When Revolución Futbol Club's Bibiano Buye in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Matte's goalie prevented a goal. In the 7th minute, Medardo Mieses got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bibiano Buye sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute, Etor Baldes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Medardo Mieses received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Santo Trespuentes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th match minute, Matte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bahiano Hernainz to maneuver through the defense. Matte's Santo Trespuentes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Medardo Mieses in the 21st minute of play. Santo Trespuentes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Medardo Mieses went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Gaizka Breton hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute Bibiano Buye shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santo Trespuentes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Osorio Teijelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Bibiano Buye came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Revolución Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bibiano Buye couldn't finish the play. Santo Trespuentes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Medardo Mieses, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. A collision led to Matte getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Nemesio Arzumendi hit a great ball. Bibiano Buye took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Santo Trespuentes. Santo Trespuentes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After the first half Revolución Futbol Club were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bibiano Buye made a kick off. Bernard Torrez's late challenge caught a Revolución Futbol Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernard Torrez helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Revolución Futbol Club booed when Matte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernard Torrez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute, Gaizka Breton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 59 minutes into the match, Revolución Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Asteri Salamanca came free, but Lando Galaviz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marquez Sole received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Lando Galaviz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Medardo Mieses fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Trespuentes having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Medardo Mieses in the 70th minute of play forced Matte's goalkeeper Santo Trespuentes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bibiano Buye in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Santo Trespuentes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Revolución Futbol Club's Lando Galaviz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurendi Monasterio in the 90th minute of play. A collision led to Revolución Futbol Club getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Gaizka Breton hit a great ball. If Asteri Salamanca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Revolución Futbol Club's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
