Clis Costoya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tano Minayo having to interfere. In the 45th minute of the match, Omero Leira got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bakar Eiriz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Omero Leira got free with Bakar Eiriz in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maximo Egas made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Maximo Egas notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Sabanagrande's Bakar Eiriz. Bakar Eiriz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpected shot in the 94th minute by Fermin Pozuelos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Joam Socobio's late challenge caught a Sabanagrande's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joam Socobio helped the player get up and apologised.
