Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Claudio Illera kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Deportivo Cali's goalkeeper Ximen Sorribes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bonifaco Lazaro. Camerino Migolla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ximen Sorribes having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Salineros's zone, Chaime Elguea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iratzeder Giraldo came out of the goal and Chaime Elguea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Salineros's Iratzeder Giraldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cresconio Arriaga in the 26th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Camerino Migolla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Chaime Elguea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Cali's supporters rose to their feet, but Chaime Elguea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iratzeder Giraldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd match minute, Salineros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Guijano to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Bonifaco Lazaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salineros's supporters rose to their feet, but Bonifaco Lazaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ximen Sorribes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ximen Sorribes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimundo Guijano, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Ximen Sorribes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Illera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Claudio Illera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Claudio Illera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cresconio Arriaga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes of play, Salineros's Claudio Illera made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ximen Sorribes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cresconio Arriaga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Claudio Illera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Bonifaco Lazaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ximen Sorribes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudio Illera's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Deportivo Cali's goal looked a bit too open when Camerino Migolla came free, but Ximen Sorribes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Cresconio Arriaga reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Iratzeder Giraldo. The goal made the score 1-1. Ximen Sorribes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bonifaco Lazaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ximen Sorribes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bonifaco Lazaro's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. After 96 minutes, Etxatxu Goya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Cali and the Salineros players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th minute, Etxatxu Goya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Salineros were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
