The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pello Mediavilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Tizon having to interfere. Cuchara's Fernanco Fuentes got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pirro Barrasa kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Pello Mediavilla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cuchara's supporters rose to their feet, but Pello Mediavilla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baldomero Tizon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 29 minutes into the match, Cuchara's goalkeeper Serapio Uria had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Celino Burset. Scorpions FC's Baldomero Tizon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pello Mediavilla in the 33rd minute of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Fernanco Fuentes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuchara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernanco Fuentes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute, Scorpions FC's Jeraldo Cediel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Scorpions FC's Baldomero Tizon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pello Mediavilla in the 42nd minute of play. Serapio Uria made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celino Burset in the 46th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Cuchara's goal looked a bit too open when Jeraldo Cediel came free, but Serapio Uria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeraldo Cediel was the one to do the kick off. Jeraldo Cediel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serapio Uria having to interfere. After 62 minutes, Odon Gopegui mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Scorpions FC and the Cuchara players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 62 played minutes Scorpions FC got a freekick which was hit by Odon Gopegui. Fernanco Fuentes kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After having played for 76 minutes, Fernanco Fuentes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuchara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernanco Fuentes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Scorpions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernanco Fuentes came free, but Baldomero Tizon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute, Celino Burset left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Scorpions FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. If Pello Mediavilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jose-Antonio Olavarrieta fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cuchara's protests and gave Jose-Antonio Olavarrieta a yellow card for diving instead. After 93 played minutes Cuchara got a freekick which was hit by Jose-Antonio Olavarrieta. Pirro Barrasa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Scorpions FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
