Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jeraldo Cediel took the kick off in the first half of the match. Scorpions FC's Baldomero Tizon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Precioso Herruz in the 5th minute of play. Baldomero Tizon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Pipa in the 12th minute of the match. If Jeraldo Cediel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celino Burset fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colon Cardenas having to interfere. Vellito Alborja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Baldomero Tizon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Precioso Herruz came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Monirote FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Precioso Herruz couldn't finish the play. Vellito Alborja charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vellito Alborja the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Scorpions FC booed when Monirote FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vellito Alborja didn't get a good kick on the ball. Scorpions FC's Jeraldo Cediel got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Precioso Herruz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes in the game, Jeraldo Cediel fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Colon Cardenas having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruben Pipa during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 53 played minutes Monirote FC got a freekick which was hit by Ruben Pipa. In the 55th minute, Leonardo Maneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute, Jeraldo Cediel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 60 played minutes Jeraldo Cediel rounded Monirote FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. Colon Cardenas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeraldo Cediel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 76 minutes, Precioso Herruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monirote FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Precioso Herruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Monirote FC's Ruben Pipa got his second yellow card of the match in the 83rd minute. The referee ordered Ruben Pipa off the ground. After 84 played minutes Monirote FC got a freekick which was hit by Ruben Pipa. In the 87th match minute, Monirote FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fidel Ibarlucea to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonardo Maneiro during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 94th minute, one of Monirote FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Monirote FC. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Scorpions FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
